RDW Sunflower oil (Helianthus Annuus) is a healthy and nutritious oil, high in polyunsaturates, grown mostly throughout the EU as well as in the Ukraine and Russia. Each plant can hold around 2000 seeds, containing 40-45% oil.

Another variety, High Oleic Sunflower is also available, classed as a premium quality product with high levels of monounsaturated fatty acids. It is the same in appearance as RDW sunflower oil, but offers a trans-free solution to consumers wanting an oil with improved stability.

Organic varieties of sunflower oil are also available upon request.

Applications

Sunflower oil is used in food dressings, spreads, emulsions, sauces and some confectionary products. It can be used as a premium frying oil in processes such as the production of crisps. Some non-food uses include cosmetic products, soaps and within therapeutic products.
